Arthur L. Brock, M.D.
Born in Oklahoma, Dr. Brock later moved with his family to Wichita, Kansas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at Wichita State University and received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed a rotating internship and a residency in Internal Medicine, followed by a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. He began practice in eastern Jackson County in 1978. Dr. Brock is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology since 1983. He is interested in the clinical aspects of Medicine, and has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City since 1984. The practice of Gastroenterology remains compelling and exciting to Dr. Brock because of the opportunity to contribute significantly to people’s lives and still stay on the cutting edge of science and technology. He has been active on the staffs of several hospitals as well as several health insurance companies here in Kansas City. He is very interested in the future of medicine and ensuring people receive high quality health care. Dr. Brock enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He particularly enjoys traveling with his family, as well as reading novels and running. Dr. Brock sees patients at the Endoscopy Center East in Independence and many of Eastern Jackson County’s hospitals.
